• Classroom recordings: video and audio files you upload for analysis.
• Transcriptions: speech-to-text output generated from your recordings.
• Lesson plans: documents you optionally upload for alignment analysis.
• Analysis results: performance scores, metrics, and AI-generated feedback.
• Usage data: pages visited and features used to improve the platform.
• Payment data: billing information handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store card numbers.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Analyze recordings and generate personalized teaching feedback
• Display performance metrics and progress on your dashboard
• Send email notifications about analysis completion or account activity
• Process subscription payments via Lemon Squeezy
• Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI models

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. We do not use your recordings to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.

Third-Party Services and Security

To provide our service, we work with the following certified providers. Each implements industry-standard security and compliance measures:

• Soniox: encrypts audio and transcript data using TLS 1.2+, applies strict account-level data isolation, does not use customer data for model training, and is certified under SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, and HIPAA.
• Firebase: encrypts data in transit via HTTPS and at rest using Google cloud encryption. Holds ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3, and GDPR certifications.
• Backblaze B2: encrypts stored data using AES-256, protects data in transit via HTTPS, supports fine-grained access control, and is certified under SOC 2 Type II with GDPR and HIPAA support.
• Google Gemini: processes data under strong encryption in transit, does not use customer inputs to train foundational models unless explicitly enabled, and complies with SOC, ISO, and GDPR.

Who Can See Your Data

Your recordings and analysis results are private by default. Access is limited to:

• You — the account holder
• Mentors you have explicitly connected with on the platform
• Institution administrators, for teachers under an institution account
• Teachpert staff, only when needed for technical support or security purposes

Fairness in Analysis

The platform tailors evaluation criteria based on the grade level you select and the subject area automatically detected during analysis. This helps ensure feedback reflects effective teaching behaviors rather than linguistic or subject-specific differences. Evaluation criteria were validated in collaboration with experienced educators to ensure pedagogically sound and fair assessments across diverse teaching contexts.

Children's Privacy

Teachpert is intended for educators and educational professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. Teachers are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from students or their guardians before uploading recordings.
